News about Piroctone Olamine

The active ingredient Piroctone Olamine was first used in cosmetic products 45 years ago. Demand is still very high today, but why? Piroctone Olamine is an ethanolamine salt from the pyridone class. The active ingredient has fungicidal and antibacterial properties, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.

Dandruff-free thanks to Piroctone Olamine - a lasting solution without drying out

The proven preservative has been shown to effectively combat the microorganisms that cause dandruff and irritation. It reduces dandruff and scalp itching as well as cell division activity.
Regular use prevents dandruff from recurring and restores the natural balance of the scalp without drying it out. But that's not all: in addition to anti-dandruff or dry shampoos, the raw material can just as easily be used in clear hair tonics, anti-acne products or deodorants - the possibilities are endless.
