Titanium dioxide: Stable prices
The supply situation for titanium dioxide has returned to normal and stabilized over the last few months. The majority of titanium dioxide types are henceforth available at short notice. The demand for titanium dioxide is currently muted, however. On the one hand, there are still no clear decisions on the statutory categorization of the white pigment, and on the other many consumers are still using up the quantities they purchased at the beginning of the year. We are expecting to see continued good availability and price stability.
There continues to be a shortage of supply in the market for certain chloride types. Here, longer delivery times of approx. 4-6 weeks should be expected.
Fumed silica
After the poor supply conditions at the end of 2018, the delivery situation has recovered substantially for the third quarter of 2019. Delivery times for all Aerosil types should therefore be around 3-4 weeks.
Monoisopropanolamine (MIPA)
After the incorporation of MIPA into our portfolio, around one year later we have managed to continually expand our pool of customers and build up stocks. Hence, from now on, we will be able to offer our MIPA products with immediate availability in all pack formats.
The general availability of the material remains unlimited in the market. The prices in the market are currently subject to only slight fluctuations.
